i often hear people making excuses for themselves on why they cant do something. why they cant diet correctly, why they cant train, why they cant lose weight, and why they are not happy with where they are at. and at the end of the conversation i am still very unclear still why they cant do it. i often ask people to come to the gym with me and get a work out in. most people give me the excuse of i dont have time... i am sorry but that is not true that you dont have time. i work from 7:30 to 6 monday through friday. and i still train for 2-2 1/2 hours day and i do meal preps and live my life and i still have time at the end of the night to just sit and watch a movie or relax. so the excuse that your to busy isnt valid sorry but its not. if you watch 45 minutes of t.v a day you have time to exercise. also another common thing i get from people is "i dont have the energy to work out everyday. well that is exactly why you dont have energy! i know it sounds crazy but i have more energy now that i am on a strict schedule and program. another question i get from people sort of unrelated to excuses and not doing it. i often have guys come up to me and ask "how can i get bigger?" my simple answer is eat more food! seriously its not rocket science people. if you weight 160lbs and you want to add muscle or if you weight 225lbs and you want to gain muscle eat more food! and usually the guys who ask me this question and i tell them that they say i cant i already eat 4 meals a day and about 3000 cal. i simply say eat 5 meals a day and 4000 cal. and then bump it up to 6 meals a day and 5000 cal. if you want to get bigger and stronger you need to eat like an athlete and train like one. those same people i tell to eat more i also say to train more. again their response is "well i train hard 4 days a week". again i say train harder go to 5 or 6 days a week and really push yourself and force the muscle to grow and not give it an option. the main thing about this some what of a rant is if you want something get off your excuses and you will see results. you have to set a goal and chase it with everything you have if you dont you will be left in the same state of mind with the same results.... nothing. do nothing and achieve nothing, do your best and achieve the best!
Bottom line, do SOMETHING. Something is always better than nothing. I am always amazed by people who aren't willing to do anything to get what they want. I don't work out anywhere near the level of Wolfman, but at least I work out. I'm pretty damned busy, but I manage to work out. Even if you're busy, you can find at least one or two days a week to go to the gym. Nobody is that busy all the time, every day. Even when I'm working 15 hour days, I still hit the gym first thing Saturday and Sunday morning for a few hours. It can be done.

I have tried dieting before but I think I took the wrong approach and ended starving most of the times and having low energy instead plus I would do 1 hour on the treadmill.yes I was lean but so hungry. Lol . right now I just get 3 meals in and healthy or protein rich snacks and more meals if possible. No limitations per say but just try to keep it around healthy stuff and just focus on getting as much protein as possible because I train alot harder now.plus eating healthy without too many limitations takes off the strain in your mind of worrying too much. My weight hasn't changed much but I'm bigger with more definition than before which means gaining muscle n losing body fat. Moral of my story is contrary to my previous believe of maintaining weight with running more , I now believe from EXPERIENCE not TV ads that weight lifting can get u there just as much if not more with less strain on the knees and sheen. Muscle head wolfman is right. Eat more and just train. Not necessarily as hard as he does but eventually you will gain energy to train harder. Wolf project- mindset.lol

very very true Eddy... i would like you to eat more coming up soon. we will be doing more cardio these next couple months. and the nice thing about cardio the more you do the more you get to eat! thats the only thing i like about doing cardio. i would like to see you on a 6 small meal plan daily. but i know it can be tough with scheduling and work and school and all the things you do throughout the day. the biggest thing is like you said is focusing on eating the right stuff! and if you are eating only 3 meals a day they need to be strategically planned for your work load. so for instance for me i am on lower carbs right now. so i use my carb intake when i need it. so i eat a light carb meal in the morning and that gets me going for the day. and then i eat another carb meal about an hour and and a half before training that way my body can use those carbs for what they are meant for and obviously my night meal after my work out is low low low carb and high protein. you have to make sure your meals count when you are training like we are. you are doing good though eddy big changes have been made to your structure over the past month and you are maintaining weight but growing in the correct areas. we will keep that trend moving forward!

Definitely seen the changes n u know I owe much of that to u. Know u wouldn't accept it but hey its not rocket science if I can borrow your analogy, eat more, train harder, u get bigger. I'm in for more meals a day. I'm not sure there is one soul out there that would say otherwise if they were able to get away with eating more n not training or getting bloated.but we are PIGS ,we get away with eating more by training harder.like bill Clinton said 'it's arithmetic'

I agree with your post and you're right.
Something I learned from the same dealings with people is that it's easier to make an excuse rather than admitting what they really feel. Everyone has time, we cannot create time. We are only given a finite amount. The only thing we can do is set aside our time accordingly.
People just have a hard time telling others that they aren't interested in working out/dieting, don't want to make it a priority or don't want to make the efforts to incorporate something new into their life and stay consistent with it.
This is something I try to remind myself every now and again due to other aspects of life.
Great post, John.
